Over 800 delegates from all regions of the country particiapted in a youth conference held at the Mekan Palace.
The deputies of the National Parliament, representatives of sectoral ministries and departments, public organisations, mass media and students of secondary schools were invited to take part in the forum.
As is known, during a recent meeting of the cabinet of ministers, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov issued a Resolution approving the State programme on implementation of the state youth policy for 2015-2020. The successful implementation of the policy will contribute to creation of the most favourable conditions for fully legitimate participation of youth in all spheres of life of the state and society in the epoch of might and happiness.
An action plan will be developed with the aim to fulfill the goals and implement the programme. This theme was the main topic of the conference. Students, servicemen, peasants, scientists and other forum participants presented their reports during the conference.
Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan actively supports the government in implementation of large-scale reforms. Forum participants paid significant attention to the issues of increasing the efficiency of work of the Youth Organisation. Speaking about the new forms and methods of work of the organization, increasing its role and responsibility in solution of tasks set by the Turkmen leader in the context of ambitious changes taken place in the country, conference participants focused on the necessity to cultivate in youth love for knowledge and education that is very important for development of any society. Forum participants also discussed the work on further popularization of sports, healthy lifestyle as well as moral and spiritual values among youth. It was underlined the importance of close work between government agencies, local authorities and youth.
An address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to forum participants was presented during the conference. In his address, the Turkmen leader underlined that the state and people count on youth in successful implementation of great goals.
Brining spiritual, well-educated and well-mannered younger generation is one of the strategic tasks of the country development. In this regard, youth is a priority object of the national and state interests, one of the main factors to ensure the competitiveness of the national economy, social stability, power of the state and prosperity of the society.
A big festive concert performed by masters of culture and arts of the country was arranged upon conclusion of the forum.
