Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, which organized a large patriotic action, held its regular series. Social project aimed at upbringing of civil activity through awareness of succession of historic-cultural heritage of people, started with events in Ahal province. This time, the members of Women’s club – the representatives of trade unions, scientists of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, representatives of mass media left for Balkan province.
Participants of the actions listened with great interest to the stories of scientists about unique archeological monuments of ancient culture of South-East Caspian region famous as Misrian plateau. The largest monument of mediaeval Dehistan – Mashad-Misrian ancient settlement also testifies about past greatness of this land. Researchers of the institutes of archeology and ethnography, history told about distinctive features of the archeological findings in Dehistan, testifying about high level of development of urban culture. Balkan province is also famous for its natural monuments. Meeting participants listened with great interest to the stories of the specialists about origin of ancient mud volcano Boyadag, about well-known “lunar mountains”, about uniqueness and healing power of water of Mollagara Lake and Garachagyl spring, about traces of ancient camel left two and a half million years ago and kept in the area of Gyaurli hole not far from Garagez mountain ridge, about beauty and rich flora of subtropical valley located in Magtymguly etrap. And of course, the story of scientists about Balkan province will be incomplete without topic about life and creativity of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi.
Being situated on the route of Great Silk Road, this land is in the center of attention of international transit-transport ways even today. Steel main line North-South runs through it. Balkan province serves as the embodiment of successful realization of the Presidential program. First of all, it is the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”, being formed on the initiative of the nation leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and turning of Turkmenbashi city into international transit-transport and logistic center.
Topic of modern state and development prospects of Balkan province was raised in every event held within the framework of trip over the province. In this regard, it is worth mentioning that members of Women’s club made the first stop in Belek gengeshlik of etrap named after S. Turkmenbashi. One might say that it is a standard of village of XXI century constructed within the framework of realization of National Program of reformations of social and living conditions of population of the regions. Within the shortest period, a school, kindergarten, House of culture and Health center, trade center, telephone exchange, train station and others have been constructed in Belek village.
– Using historical data and facts, giving examples from present day, we strive to develop in youth the patriotic responsibility for future fate of Motherland, stimulate interest in study of their land, its nature and traditions. Learning better the history of their land, being imbued with its cultural originality, realizing the prospects, which are opened owing to drastic reforms in all spheres of life, the people keenly sense a desire to make their contribution to its further development and prosperity. Exactly therefore, local history became today one of the leading trends of our activity.
