It was started the formation of election commissions of towns in the etrap, settlements, gengeshliks for upcoming on August 16 elections of members of Gengeshi.

Members of newly formed compositions of election commissions have to participate in the training seminars, which will give an opportunity to familiarize with the changes in the national election legislation, particularly with Election Code, their administrative duties and procedure of elections.

Pretenders are nominated at the meetings of primary organizations of Democratic Party, Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Agrarian Party, social organizations and associations, as well as group of citizens. According to the Election Code, henceforth, the Agrarian Party also has a right to nominate its candidates both for compositions of election commissions and members of Gengeshi.

Election campaign will be held in accordance with the Election Code of Turkmenistan. In this action, primordial democratic traditions of the Turkmen people will also get worthy continuation. Creation in Turkmenistan of multi-party system contributes to the purposes of further democratization of the society, renovation of political mechanisms.
