The monument Arkadag that stands in the middle of the roundabout on Bagtyyarlyk Avenue in Ashgabat was opened.


The monument with the massive pedestal in the shape of a monolithic rock has a total height of 21 metres. The 6-metre equestrian sculpture depicting the President of Turkmenistan mounted on an Ahalteke horse shines gold at the top of the monolith. The author of the sculpture is People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, a sculptor Saragt Babayev.
