Crowded celebrations with music, songs and dances were held in the southeast part of the capital near “Ak bugday” Monument risen in the center of circular interchange on the intersection of Archabil Avenue and B. Annanov Street. Among participants of the solemnity are the workers of agro-industrial complex, cotton-growers, who augment with their labor the sufficiency and abundance of the Turkmen tablecloths.
Total height of original edifice, reflecting the fact that Turkmenistan is the motherland of white wheat – ak bugday, is 36 meters. Two-meter gilded spire in the form of wheat ears crowns the monument. In the lower part of monument, it was depicted 24 hearths, symbolizing 24 grandsons of Oguzkhan and forming a comprehensive whole with five powerful bearings. It is the image of cohesion of the Turkmen people, who carried the national spiritual values through centuries. On perimeter of the foundation circumference entered into octagon, water runs from eight jugs as a symbol of eternity of being and fertility of native land.
