There is a replenishment in the National wildlife museum of Turkmenistan. The lion named Sardja and a lioness named Akdja have born first posterity, three charming babes were born on June, 26th.
Young mum and cubs feel themselves well. They have really lion's appetite, and vitamins are in addition included to a diet of Akdja. Young lions considerably add in weight, try to go and already show curiosity to new objects. All pride will reunite after two months when kids will completely adapt and then visitors of zoo can get acquainted with them.
In 2010 lions became one of the first inhabitants of the National wildlife museum of Turkmenistan. Here, in the area of 40 hectares, more than 250 kinds of wild and domestic animals like birds, reptiles, fishes and other inhabitants of sea, many of which are included in the Red Data books of the International union of wildlife nature preservation and Turkmenistan are kept.
Thematically, the zoo is divided into four zones: the African savanna and possession of predators, territory of hoofed animals and the bird's market. A contingent of zoological park consists of representatives of Southern Africa fauna, and of course, various kinds of unique fauna of Turkmenistan - inhabitants of mountain, deserted, water and forest areas of our country.
Fine mountain climate and unique natural landscape - perfect conditions of a "live" museum under open-air, where the maintenance of animals is approached to natural habitats. Spacious winter open-air cages have an exit to open areas, high tents with reservoirs became a shelter for feathery birds, there is a terrarium, a stable with a hippodrome.
Today the National wildlife museum became the largest in country scientific, nature protection, cultural and educational centre. Research assistants and inspectors of the zoo conduct complex work on adaptation, creation of psychological well-being for animal in captivity. For the time has passed from the opening date, posterity has appeared at Rhea and Emu ostriches, axis deers, muntjaks and other inhabitants.
