The opening ceremony of the Health 2015 International Exhibition took place at the Exhibition Centre Sergi Kosgi in Ashgabat. The forum has brought together health professionals from 41 countries of the world.
Along with the ministries and agencies, major clinical research and training centres and health resorts from our country, 251 companies that manufacture a wide range of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment and render services in different areas of the health system are represented at the exhibition. The largest number of exhibitors – 137 companies – came from European countries; 25 of them there are the newcomers.
Traditionally, the professionals in the healthcare field, including the companies from Germany, Great Britain, Russia, India, China, Turkey and the United States, are widely represented at the exhibition in Ashgabat. This fact testifies to the long-term interests of partners and illustrates their willingness to promote long-term cooperation.
The exhibition gives visitors an opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art medical equipment, pharmaceutical products, medical, diagnostic, laboratory and therapy equipment, special devices, etc. Specialists show keen interest in the pavilions, which feature research innovations applied in various branches of medicine and latest computer technologies.
A significant part of the exhibition is focused on the achievements of Turkmenistan’s medicine and medical industry. It also features a wide range of scientific and methodical literature and research projects developed by specialists from the research institutes and clinics. The exhibitors representing Turkmenistan’s health sector include state-run institutions, research and training centres and private companies.
The Saglyk 2015 Exhibition provides a platform for product promotion, business development, market research and meetings with experts from different regions of our country and abroad. It is therefore natural that Turkmen private companies – the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs – are widely represented at the forum.
Visitors and foreign participants show tremendous interest in the capacities of the rapidly developing health resort industry of Turkmenistan. The sanatoria Bairamali, Berzengi, Archman, Yyly suv, Farap, Mollakara and Dashoguz, which are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and medical equipment from the well-known manufacturers and provide a wide range of health services, using local sources, have arranged their pavilions at the international exhibition. The rapidly growing Avaza national tourism zone – the project that opens up qualitatively new opportunities for wide international cooperation – showcases its unlimited possibilities to potential partners.
The first day of the exhibition was marked by the presentation of the seventh volume of the encyclopaedia Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The new volume is a continuation of the fundamental studies undertaken by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in 2009. To date, it has been translated into many languages. The seventh volume, published in three separate mass-circulation books in the Turkmen, Russian and English languages, provides complete information on 107 medicinal plants species, including the collection calendar and the methods and rules of storage of medicinal plants.
The Health 2015 International Exhibition will close on July 21.
