Last month the kindergarten designed for 160 children was opened there within the framework of the programme of anniversary festivities, and this week citizens of Gyami settlement have celebrated the opening of the big beautiful school building which together with the yard form an architectural ensemble. The complex of child welfare institutions distinguished for the well thought-out layout and architectural design was built by the Esbap economic society at the request of the Ahal Velayat Khyakimlik as consistent with the objectives of integrated development and education of the younger generation of citizens of Turkmenistan.
This complex consisting of the building with classrooms, gym and auxiliary premises with autonomous supply systems meets modern requirements set to facilities of this kind in the country. There are flower beds and lawns on the adjacent territory of the school.
The conditions conducive to intellectual and artistic development of school children are created in the white-marble three-storey building. There are spacious and light classrooms and rooms of extended-day groups for elementary school children, language laboratories, classrooms for the computer and natural sciences supplied with laboratory and multimedia equipment. There are the specialized workshops for labour education where boys will learn the necessary skills and techniques and girls will learn how to sew, embroider and cook. These workshops are supplied with tools, sewing machines and household appliances. The school building houses the big library with academic and methodological literature and fiction, the Galkynys room and the rooms for music and painting classes.
There is the 154-seat assembly hall where forums and festivities will be arranged, projection rooms and dressing room.
Particular attention in the school building project is paid to physical development of children. Do, the indoor swimming pool, spacious light gym with sports equipment, football fields and basketball and volleyball grounds in the school yard are at disposal of school children. There are also two medical rooms, one of which is the dental room.

A new modern sports and health improvement complex has been opened there this week. The modern sports complex was built by the Tokgar-Gurlusyk private enterprise in the rapidly development housing estate in Gumdag town. Each day over 700 athletes can practice various sports in this complex using state-of-the-art sports equipment. There are the grounds for playing volleyball, basketball, mini-football and table tennis and wrestling in the new complex. The centralized air conditioning and heating systems will create the favourable microclimate in the complex. The adjacent territory is planted with trees and shrubs.
