The ceremonies of opening two new sports schools continued the parade of building premieres in honour of the National Flag Day.
One of them designed for 350 students was opened in the Baharly housing estate in Ahal Velayat in the neighborhood to the Yyly Suv sanatorium with new hydropathic establishment put into operation last December.
The new sports school was built by the Galkynys-Binyagar Department of the AYK-Mengli private enterprise. The school building houses the complex of gyms and sports grounds, training and methodological rooms for coaches, auxiliary premises and medical room. The necessary conditions for teaching the basics of sportsmanship to children and youth and holding various sports competitions are created in the school building. A spacious gym for playing handball, volleyball and basketball is located in the centre of the school building. There are the special grounds for practicing wrestling, boxing and playing chess, the fitness centre supplied with sports equipment and chess section in the schoolyard. The centralized air-conditioning and heating systems maintain the favourable microclimate all year round.
The sports school project stipulates that a number of outdoor sports facilities including the 2,000-seat stadium with the football field, playgrounds, running tracks and tennis courts will be built.
The adjacent territory of the sports complex is planted with coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs.

The school satisfies modern requirements. Sports equipment in the spacious gyms is easily transformed for conducting fitness training, practicing weightlifting, boxing, martial arts, judo and playing volleyball, basketball, tennis and other sports.
The new school building houses the classrooms for training and methodological work, several rooms for coaches, medical room and numerous shower cubicles. There are several outdoor playgrounds in the adjacent territory that is planted with trees and shrubs.
The high quality of the newly constructed building and equipment installed there will allow holding various sports competitions and cultural events and involving local citizens, especially youth, in doing sports and physical training.
