The eighth volume of selected works by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov entitleв “Towards New Heights of Progress” prepared for publication by the Central Archives of the President of Turkmenistan appeared in print.
The book presents the keynote speeches, research papers, interviews, welcome statements and addresses delivered by the leader of Turkmenistan in 2014 in chronological order.
The publication begins with the brief analytical review entitled “Creative Energy of the Nation in the Epoch of Might and Happiness” describing the versatile activity of the President of Turkmenistan on development of the country, the key aspects of the creative foreign-policy course and constructive international initiatives.
The chapter entitled “Our Hero Arkadag – the Founder of a New Epoch” presents the main concept of the ideology of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the author of the well thought, scientifically based and comprehensively balanced policy related to the wise use of public development laws and exercise of the state power.
It is noted that all necessary conditions were created to ensure the exercise of citizens’ constitutional rights for creation of political parties and all steps were taken to establish a multi-party system in the country. There are three political parties created in Turkmenistan – the Democratic Party, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Agrarian Party.
The major part of the eighth volume is dedicated to the results of the economic policy of the Turkmen leader, which aims at making Turkmenistan into one of the industrially developed nations of the world. Particular attention in the publication is paid to enhancing the role of Turkmenistan in the world politics in 2014 that was rich in international events. The achievements of our state are connected in many respects with its foreign policy, which is based on the principles of the legal status of neutrality delegated to Turkmenistan by the United Nations in 1995 and aimed at strengthening peace through development.
