The conferences and meetings were held in the Turkmen capital to follow up the important events in social and political life of our country, the presidential election, the inaugural ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan, the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the National Flag Day.
One of the conferences was organized by the national Parliament and the Political Council of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan in the assembly hall of the Mejlis.
Those speaking at the conference emphasized that the presidential election held in an atmosphere of a free expression of will and democracy was a critical important step towards progressive political development of the Turkmen state.
It was underlined that all outstanding accomplishments and achievements in the new historical epoch were indissolubly associated with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov whose innovative and prudent policy had laid the foundation for the rapid progress of the Turkmen state and society and high prestige of our Motherland in the international arena.
The organizational issues were considered during the meeting. The meeting of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmen adopted the decision to relieve A. Ashirov of the position of Vice President of the Humanitarian Association of the World Turkmen and appoint M.H. Abalakov to this position.
During the meeting of the Central Council of the Women’s Union it was noted that the ambitious reforms launched throughout the country to improve the people’s welfare and diversify the national economy ensured stability and wellbeing, civic cohesion and national unity in our country. It was noted that our ancient land had revived and was flourishing in the new historical epoch, all the sectors of the national economy and all spheres of social and political life developed.
The Central Council of the Women’s Union adopted the decision to relieve T. S. Muhammedova of the position of Chairperson of the Central Council and elect M.M. Yazmuhammedova to this post.
