As State news agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) informs, today the President of Turkmenistan, being on a working visit in Turkmenbashi, early in the morning has visited versatile sport centre “Аваза”, where he held joint training with colleagues, including on sport apparatuses, in games on table tennis, basketball, football, etc.
Here, having divided into teams, vice-premiers and heads of military and law enforcement agencies have held among themselves competitions on volleyball.
Competitions in sport centre “Аваза” have passed in a vigorous rhythm. Participants have shown the will to win and good team game. Active emotional support was rendered by fans as well. As a result, the team of members of the State Security Council became the winner.
In solemn atmosphere, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has handed over to team-winner the Cup and was photographed together with participants of a match. The head of state recommended holding regularly sports competitions among staff of military and law enforcement agencies.
Having wished all successes in work, the nation leader has left the sport centre on a racing bicycle. On the way, the head of state has examined Avaza, having paid special attention to the landscape gardening of adjoining territories of the structures of resort infrastructure.
Today, in Ashgabat, it was involved not only all large sports structures, but also gyms and playgrounds of schools, higher educational establishments and other sport centers, where the representatives of different branches and educational institutions of the country competed on many kinds of sports.
Sport Centre “Bagtiyarlyk”, which was opened this year with participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, hosted the representatives of the ministries and departments as well as editors of newspapers and magazines, which revealed the strongest in competitions on mini football, basketball, volleyball, chess, draughts, large and table tennis.
Special sport passions “run high” on the ground, where it was played for the Cup the organizers should hand over on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the winner of football fights. As a result of interesting struggle in the final of mini football tournament, the national team formed from workers of education spheres, sports, tourism and public health services won a victory over team of financial-banking system. On behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the winner of this tournament received the Cup.
The team of workers of the transport and communication sector, which has won a victory over the team of trade sphere in the final, became the winner of basketball tournament. Organizers have noted active participation in the sports action of a women's team “Bagtiyarlyk”, which included the representatives of various professions.
