The station on sea water desalination was put into exploitation in Kiyanly settlement of Turkmenbashi etrap in Balkan province.

Officials and representatives of agricultural complex took part in the opening ceremony of this infrastructural object urged to deduce water supply at etrap level.

In industrial shop of the enterprise, it was demonstrated the video film, telling about new water-desalinating station with capacity of 50 thousand cubic meters a day. Turkish Company “Polimeks” has constructed the project with use of the newest technologies of water purification from developers of the USA, Germany and Italy.

Then water-desalinating installation has been started in action by button pressing on the panel, and the participants could observe the process of its operation.

From 10-meter depth by means of pumps with capacity of 4200 cubic meters per hour, water is provided to reservoirs in volume of 10 thousand square meters. Here, it passes disinfection and is released from rough impurity, then is gathered in following capacities for ultra-violet filtration. At this stage, it is eliminated the particles with size up to 0.02 microns after that the water runs through installation of reverse osmosis.

Powerful pumps are pumping the water under huge pressure through the special membranes, which hold the sea salt. 12 membranes divide the sea water into two components - a salty solution and refined water. Fresh water is enriched with minerals that provides essential of calcium, magnesium and other important elements, reached to necessary parameters and standards and delivered to storage reservoirs with capacity of 40 thousand cubic meters, and then - to the water centre.

From here, by means of pumps with capacity of 420 cubic meters per hour, water is delivered by pipes to potable water reservoirs to different districts of Turkmenbashi city.

Thus, new water-desalinating installation gives the opportunity to satisfy completely the growing needs of the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” and Turkmenbashi city in pure potable water.

Then, participants of the solemnity have familiarized with activity of laboratory on quality control over sea water desalination as well as tasted the water, which has just passed all process of desalination and purification, having highly appreciated its taste qualities.
