In the capital’s Palace “Mekan”, it was held XVIII Conference of World Turkmen Humanitarian Association called in accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan, President of WTHA Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.
Members of the government, deputies of Parliament, ambassadors of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, representatives of public organizations, honorable elders, employees of mass media, scientists and workers of culture as well as heads of several Institutes of Academy of Sciences, branch ministries and departments, capital’s higher educational establishments, which are collective members of WTHA, took part in solemn opening ceremony of the forum.
Among foreign delegates of all-Turkmen forum are the representatives of 16 states of the world, including Afghanistan, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Sweden.
In the course of session, it was listened to the report on activity of World Turkmen Humanitarian Association, which is authoritative international organization widely known outside of our country. Presently, 27 branches of WTHA, which has more than three hundred collective and hundreds of individual members, including nearby 400 from the foreign states, are functioning in 14 countries of the world.
Separate messages have been devoted to activity of Turkmen Diasporas in Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Among examples of successful realization by Turkmenistan of the policy of peace and humanism, the delegates of conference marked the assistance and support in socio-economic revival of Afghanistan, construction owing to funds of our country of new modern schools in Jilikul area of Hatlonsk oblast of Tajikistan, in village Funtovo of the Astrakhan oblast, preschool institution in the Moldavian village Chishmikioj of Vulkaneshtsk region of ATU Gagauzia, other objects of socio-cultural appointment as well as organization in the foreign states of the events, promoting the popularization of Turkmen culture and its outstanding individuals.
The session agenda also included organizational issues. According to them, it was made relevant decisions. During conference, it was held awarding ceremony of foreign individual members of the Association – activists of WTHA with certificates of honor.

In the next few days, our foreign compatriots will take part in the celebratory actions devoted to the 24th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. It is also planned the meetings with youth, community of the capital, visit of exhibitions, theatres, museums, new industrial and socio-cultural objects, shopping centers and familiarization with development of entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan.
