Bilateral interdepartmental meetings on regional security have been held in Moscow under the visit of the government delegation of Turkmenistan to Russian Federation on March 30.
Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Hajiyev while Russian delegation by his colleague Andrey Rudenko.
Aspects of cooperation between two countries in regional security have been analyzed during consultations. The sides have discussed the partnership in countering modern challenges and threats. Afghan problems and promotion of peaceful process in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan have been reviewed. The sides have presented the positions of two countries in this direction.
The agenda of the meeting has also included the cooperation in the sphere of informational security. It was highlighted that the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russian Federation have adopted Joint Statement on cooperation in provision of international information security in 2019. In this regard, the sides have spoken for the strengthening of the partnership in legal use of modern information and communication technologies.
