Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov has met with Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan at the fields of the session of the CIS Council of the Foreign Ministers.
The heads of the Foreign Ministries have discussed wide range of issues of bilateral agenda. Mutual intent to strengthen interstate relations have been expressed. In this context, the importance of consultations between the foreign departments of two countries and willingness to give them regular character have been highlighted.
Trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres have been noted as priority directions of cooperation.
The sides have highly appreciated the cooperation between two states under international structures. The sides have also exchanged the views on number of subjects of cooperation under the CIS.
Number of current subjects of international and regional agenda has been highlighted at the meeting. The importance of protection of historical monuments and cultural heritage has been highlighted.
