According to MIR 24 TV channel, during the pandemic, the number of students from the CIS, most of which are from Turkmenistan increased at the Belarusian State University.

Applicants from Turkmenistan, Russia and Kazakhstan can apply for state-subsidized education. Applicants have to pass centralized test and competition. The rest are accepted for fee-paying education based on an interview.

There are more than 2000 students from the Commonwealth countries at the Belarusian State University. During the pandemic, their number has increased - due to modern technologies.
