April 12. This is a date, which opened new epoch for humankind. A human being has made the first flight to the space on this day sixty years ago. Citizens of the Soviet Union Yuri Gagarin was the first in exploration of outer space.
Famous Gagarin’s “Let’s go” is famous probably to every human being on the Earth. It has also become a hashtag of the series of intellectual, sport and creative contests held in A. S. Pushkin Turkmen – Russian School and dedicated to the anniversary of the first human space flight from April 1. Such events have become a traditional in the school.
Thus year, Karim Veliahmedov, who is engaged in professional painting for more than 40 years, was invited as a chairman of the jury to select the most talented visual art works under the Space Journey contest.
The prizes were also given by the results of sport game “These are the ones to be spacemen”. The winners of the competition Perman Orazov and Sofia Levkovskaya among the girls received the gifts from Eugene Beloglazov, the Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Cooperation) in Ashgabat.
Literature contest “About the space and not only” was prepared for young participants of the space cycle. While the outcomes were summed up, the participants and guests of the event looked around the thematic exhibition opened in the school. Special attention was attracted by the model of Vostok – 1 rocket.
One of the exhibition displays introduced the exhibits of Ashgabat fan of the space theme Gaji Rajabov. His hobby has started in child age and now, he has a big collection of pictures, books, photos, post stamps, badges, toys, news publications dedicated to the history of exploration of outer space.
Gaji has handed over several pictures from his personal collection, album with pictures of spaceman Alexey Leonov to the school museum and wished young school students to dream and strive to achieve set goals.
