The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan organized an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of our country and the declaration of 2021 as the International Year of Peace and Trust.

As part of the celebration, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the youth competition for the best analytical material on various aspects of the Turkmen-Uzbek interstate dialogue.

Officials, university professors and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as journalists attended the event.

Greeting all those present, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Yazguly Mammadov underlined that at present, due to the political will of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Turkmen-Uzbek relations had reached the level of strategic partnership.

Vice-rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan L. Mingishev noted that the friendly dialogue between the Turkmen and Uzbek peoples had deep historical roots. Focusing on the importance of its progressive development, he expressed satisfaction with the constructive nature of cooperation in the field of science and education.

The contest brought together 28 students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. All participants received letters of thanks on behalf of the Embassy of Turkmenistan.
