According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan signed the Concept of Ensuring the Security of the Afghan Section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Gas Pipeline (TAPI) in Kabul.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan notes that the Chairman of the “Turkmengas” State Concern and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan discussed the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline with the Deputy Secretary of the IRA National Security Council.

According to representative of Afghanistan, the Concept stands as an important step in the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project, including the development of the Security Plan and Protocol, which are annexes to the Agreement with the Host Government.
