On Monday in Geneva, at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Instrument on Accession to the Patent Law Treaty (2000) signed by the President of Turkmenistan was presented to WIPO Director General Daren Tang.
During the ceremony, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva Atageldy Haljanov underlined Turkmenistan's commitment to constructive dialogue with authoritative international organizations, including WIPO.
The WIPO Director General, in turn, emphasized the importance of the joint work of the Organization and the Government of our country on the Programme for the Development of the Intellectual Property System in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
Mr. Tang noted that Turkmenistan became the 43rd country to accede to the Patent Law Treaty, and expressed readiness to provide all possible assistance on Turkmenistan’s accession to other WIPO documents.
