As reported by RIA Federal News Agency, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko sent congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was elected to the post of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh.

In her address to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Valentina Matvienko underlined the support of the people to the Turkmen leader’s policy aimed at maintaining national accord. According to the Russian parliamentarian, the President for many years has selflessly worked at the highest government post for the benefit of the citizens of the state and made a significant contribution to improving the well-being of citizens.

In her address to Chairperson of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova, Chairperson of the Federation Council V. Matvienko emphasized the importance of developing political stability in the country at present. According to V. Matvienko, under the current government officials in Turkmenistan, the overall power of the state and its place as a significant player in the international arena have strengthened significantly.

“Dear Gulshat Sahiyevna, I value the good personal relations with you. I hope that due to joint efforts, constructive cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan will expand in all areas,” Valentina Matvienko summed up.
