Today, in the square before capital’s Palace of children and youth, it was held a solemn ceremony, which gave a start to winter season of recreation of pupils of secondary schools of the country, who leave for one of most beautiful parts of Turkmenistan – Gokdere, where they will spend their New Year holidays.
Festive event is traditionally accompanied with fabulous performance. And today, the area before the Palace turned into real fairy township. Magic forest decorated with ribbons and painted Christmas-tree decorations stretched around.
Smart Christmas tree became the center of solemnity. Ayazbaba and Garpamyk, heroes of Turkmen fairytales invited the children for round dance. Representatives of creative circles of the Palace of children and youth adorned the holiday with bright musical program. Artists saw off the children with cheerful songs and stirring dances. Their busses took the children for winter residence of Ayazbaba and Garpamyk.
In these days, the picturesque place Gokdere – favorite place of recreation for residents of Ashgabat particularly gladdens the eyes. There are slopes of Kopetdag ranges full of juniper. The current winter turned out warm and welcomes the children with tender rays of morning sun.
In addition to clear mountain air and exciting excursions to picturesque surroundings, in the recreation centers, the children can enjoy the sports complexes, playing rooms and computer classes, workshops for future designers and needlewoman. In the amphitheaters and concert halls of the centers of Geokdere, it will be organized wonderful performances and New Year events with participation of the children themselves, as well as popular artists, theater and creative groups of the country.
Organizers of the event are traditionally the Methodists of the Ministry of Education, administration of CRC. This year, in addition to 14 Children’s Recreation Centers of Geokdere, which welcomed in winter 7000 young guests, the New Year holidays for kids will be also organized in four new centers in the provinces of the country.
During the winter holidays, it will be held the New Year solemnities in the capital and provinces, children's performances in theaters, creative meetings, and sport contests. The children will enjoy the exciting competitions and visits to museums, sights and cultural centers.
