First meeting of Diversified Intersectoral Commission for public health was held in the conference hall of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
As is known this structure was created in accordance with the Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with a view of successful realization of new State “Health” Program approved in 2015, the National Plan on its realization for 2015-2017, further development of healthcare system in accordance with the international norms. Activity of the Commission urged to contribute to the creation of single system of prophylaxis, improvement of public health management, coordination of measures in the field of health protection of citizens, control of their fulfilment, introduction of principles of healthy life-style, successful realization of essential measures on prevention of diseases as well as development of diversified interbranch cooperation in the field of public health.
Representatives of the ministries and sectoral departments, social organizations were invited for participation in the meeting of Diversified Intersectoral Commission for public health. Participants have familiarized with Provision and composition of this Commission, basic directions of its activity.
The session agenda also included the acquaintance with the working plan of the Diversified Intersectoral Commission for public health for 2016, envisaging the holding of a wide spectrum of actions. It also includes the creation of sectoral work group for realization of the State “Health” Program initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, development and approval for these purposes of the sectoral work plan for 2016 and other organizational activity.
Aforementioned Plan also provides improvement of work of family doctors, system of medical services and supply of the population with medicines, methodical and educational activity, improvement of professional skills of medical workers, etc. In a word, the sphere of coordination activity of the Commission contains whole spectrum of issues related to main goal - the education of physically and spiritually healthy nation in the prosperous epoch of the powerful state.
As participants of the session marked, being guided by the motto “Health of nation – the wealth of the country!”, our state pays priority attention to all-round development of healthcare sphere. The special role in scale work belongs to the President of the country, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medicine and Economics Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was at the head of national healthcare system within many years and rendered unprecedented state support to this sphere.
Having developed the state policy aimed at gaining of the maximum effect from use of system of socio-economic and medical actions, directed on increase of health level of the population, maintenance of constitutional rights of people for health protection, the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has introduced in practice the widest approach to public health issues. On its basis – the strategic vision of prospects in the field of development of human potential. Activity of the Diversified Intersectoral Commission for public health will make its contribution to its achievement.
