Scientific-practical conference entitled “Actual issues of stomatology” was held at the State Medical University. Teaching staff and students of the Medical University, doctors of the Stomatological Training and Production Center as well as velayat Stomatological Centers took part in its work.
The reports of the scientific-practical forum reflect modern trends of development and innovative technologies in stomatology. Turkmen dentists use in their practice the most modern methods and innovative technologies of prevention and treatment of dental diseases, restoration of teeth. In particular, in the last years, powerful development is kept in such stomatological direction as implantation. Along with it, on the basis of orthopedic, surgical and stomatological departments, it is introduced into practice various recovery operations such as rhinoplasty, rinoheyloplastika, otoplasty.
Within the framework of the conference, it was considered the results of researches and accumulated practical experience in treatment of various diseases of oral cavity and their prevention. Presently, it is carried out a whole series of scientific developments of new methods for prevention of dental caries and periodontal disease treatment with use of medicinal plants in Turkmenistan. It was studied the method of preparation of decoctions and infusions from these medicinal plants by means of high technologies as well as their mineralizing effect on tooth enamel. Our scientists study the bactericidal, bacteriostatic and antioxidant effects.
Great interest was excited by investigations of the medicinal water “Berzengi”, which is used to prevent and treat the possible complications during orthodontic treatment of children, as a result of which the positive results were achieved.
A separate topic of scientific-practical conference was devoted to new modern equipment of Stomatological Training and Production Center of the State Medical University and opportunities that are opened to increase the level and quality of medical services rendered for citizens of Turkmenistan.
