Not much time is left to the start of the comprehensive population census and housing census of Turkmenistan, planned in 2022. The preparations are well under way to an important statistical ten-years study.

In the held yesterday meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of our country, by the State Committee on Statistics of Turkmenistan were presented and approved the drafts of slogan and logo of the forthcoming campaign.

The slogan: «The population census 2022: Solidarity, Happiness, Bright future», became a sort of the parting words for the citizens of Turkmenistan, preparing for such important event in the life of country. It is fitting that the logotype of the close event reflects the native traditions of our people. In the center of logo is an image of the «Türkmeniň ak öýi» («Turkmen white yurta»), long since served as a house of ancestors.

«White yurta» – one of the national symbols of our country. Today, such constructions of of considerable dimensions are installed in Akhal, Mary and Lebap. This summer the opening ceremony of giant yurtas were held in Balkan and Dashoguz velayatsх. it just goes to show that they are very passionate about and multiply the legacy of ancestors in Turkmenistan.

The future population census has also a great importance, indeed, the aim of the campaign not only to collect the statistical data, but also to shape the further socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. The large-scaled statistic study will allow to establish an exact population figures, living in our country, as well as to obtain information on its composition and living conditions.
