Climate Diplomacy Week has started

Climate Diplomacy Week 2021 has started, within which the delegations and representations of the European Union Member States around the world will host events to foster dialogue and cooperation on climate change, showcase success stories and inspire further action.

The program will include conferences, exhibitions, screening of a movies and other outreach activities, bringing together communities and a wide range of stakeholders.

The central theme of this year's Climate Diplomacy Weeks is Ambition and Action. The EU wants to showcase both ambition and action with its EU Green Deal, its Climate Law and the latest set of policy proposals (Fit for 55) to achieve at least 55% emissions reduction by 2030 as an intermediate step towards the EU’s climate neutrality target by 2050. The EU is also actively working with other countries and regions to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and promote ambitious climate action.

In the framework of the Climate Diplomacy Week the EU Delegation in Turkmenistan is also planning to hold a series of events public relations with participation of Mr. Diego Ruiz Alonso, Ambassador and Ms. Renata Wrobel, Deputy Chief of Mission.

Climate Diplomacy Week 2021 will be held until 17 October, 2021.

The European Union is committed to the climate policy and takes seriously the greenhouse gas emissions reduction issue, both in the territory of EU and in support of other countries in this initiative.

It should be pointed out that on the eve of the 26th UN Climate Charge Conference, which will take place from 3 October to 12 November in Glasgow, the British Embassy in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UN representation in Turkmenistan plan to hold the first Youth Climate Charge Conference. The event will take place on October 8, 2021 in hybrid format.
