Music and dance performances, theater premieres and colorful shows organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, and Ashgabat khyakimlik were arranged at the concert stages of the Turkmen capital.
Masters of Arts of Turkmenistan performed big festive concert entitled “Flourished, the happy land!” on the square in front of the State Circus of Turkmenistan. Famous musical and dance groups “Galkynysh”, “Serdara Serpay”, “Lachin”, “Nyazli”, “Mengli” singers and soloists of Ashgabat theaters, and folk groups that arrived in the Turkmen capital took part in the concert. To foster and encourage the love for poetic art is an ancient tradition that embodied in the traditions of Nowruz Bayramy, thus, the poems by Seidi, Magtymguly, Zelili, Andalib, Mollanepes and our contemporaries dedicated to awakening of nature, the beauty of the Turkmen land, and achievements of our Fatherland in the present time sounded at the concert. The final chord of the festive show was a song dedicated to Nowruz performed by all concert participants.
Popular singers demonstrated their mastership on the Ylham Alley, and in the Turkmenistan and Watan Cinema and Concert Centers. They performed national songs and melodies as well as modern compositions glorifying Nowruz, the triumph of the national principles, moral values and wonderful traditions that occupy a worthy place among the human cultural values, the holidays inspired with national spirit, humanity and goodness.
Theatrical performance entitled “Prosper, the native land!” taken place at the Magtymguly Turkmen National Music and Drama Theatre was dedicated to the National holiday of spring and the happy epoch of modern Turkmenistan. Songs and dances performed by creative groups of the Turkmen capital harmoniously combined with sketches included into theater repertoires, as well as extracts from the wonderful opera Leyli-Medjnun that was revived on the Turkmen stage a few years ago.
The great number of participants and guests to the festive celebrations became a bright evidence of that the widely celebrated Nowruz Bayramy has become a holiday that forms the original world-view of the Turkmen people, and that has acquired great international significance in the modern epoch. Ashgabat youth theaters prepared their creative gifts to spectators. The theatrical performance entitled “Nowruz dressed in spring costumes has come to our land” was presented at Mollanepes Turkmen Students’ Theater, and “The spring has come to the native land with holidays” was given at Alp Arslan Turkmen National Youth Theatre. The programme of these theatrical performances included the literary and artistic, song and dance compositions, in which young actors tried to convey the life-affirming power of nature - the time of renovation of the spiritual life of people. Lovers of theater art enjoyed the theatrical performances accompanied by poems created by Turkmen classical poets glorifying the wonderful time of Nowruz and inspiring people for goodness and spiritual excellence.
The leading idea of all performances was that Nowruz - one of the oldest holidays that formed the cultural heritage of many nations, including the Turkmen people. In our time this light holiday of beauty and inspired life has turned into an international holiday that makes the peoples all over the world closer to each other demonstrating the triumph of high principles of humanism and diligence, calling for the friendship and goodwill throughout the world.
