President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and members of the Turkmen delegation, upon returning from the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, will undergo a three-day quarantine. This decision was made at the last meeting of the government of the country via video link.

At the meeting, the Head of State addressed the Vice Prime, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission of Turkmenistan for Combating the Spread of Diseases Sapardurdy Toylyyev with a question about how the members of the delegation should act upon their return from China.

Toylyyev reported that, in accordance with the Regulations of the Extraordinary Commission for Combating the Spread of Diseases, upon returning from a business trip, in order to comply with sanitary standards, it is necessary to undergo mandatory quarantine. The shortest period is - 3 days, the medium quarantine time is - 10 days, and the longest period is - 21 days.

“Based on this message, members of the delegation will also have to go through quarantine. According to sanitary requirements, we will have to be in quarantine for 3 days - Sunday, Monday and Tuesday,” - the President of Turkmenistan said.
