Consul General of Turkmenistan in Russia (Kazan) Atadurdy Bayramov visited the city of Elabuga, where he met with the director of the Elabuga Institute of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University Elena Merzon.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of further cooperation in the training of highly qualified personnel. The Consul General expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the university for the warm welcome of Turkmen students, including the creation of good conditions for study and recreation.

The Consul General also spoke about the Presidential elections scheduled for March 12, 2022 in Turkmenistan. In this regard, it was noted that polling stations have been created on the territory of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan for Turkmen citizens located in the corresponding regions of Russia.

Then Atadurdy Bayramov met with Turkmen students studying at the institute. During the meeting, the diplomat noted that within the framework of the year 2022 announced in Turkmenistan - the Era of the people with Arkadag, under the leadership of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a number of major economic projects are being implemented in the country, including with the participation of Tatarstan companies. In this regard, Turkmenistan trains highly qualified personnel in the universities of Tatarstan for the oil and gas, machine-building, shipbuilding, electronic and other sectors of the national economy.

During the meeting, letters of thanks were also presented to the folklore and choreographic «Galkynysh» ensemble of the Institute, the football team «Turkmenistan», the volleyball team «Magtymguly Pyragy», student Enejan Hamidova, as well as the winners of the 2021 Belt Wrestling World Cup Bayramoraz Guvanjov and Emirhan Esenov for active participation in educational, cultural and sporting events.
