Forecasters from Ashgabat and Lebap velayat took part in a seminar on advanced automated meteorological measurement and information systems.

The seminar was organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Promoting Better Governance” in cooperation with the Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.

It became part of a series of events aimed at increasing climate resilience in Turkmenistan. The participants got acquainted with advanced methods of data collection and analysis, improved their skills in forecasting weather conditions.

Forecasting and weather data are becoming more important than ever, requiring the use of the best equipment to collect meteorological information. Reliable and accurate weather forecasts help governments and the public to plan and prepare for potential emergencies.
