In the work of the twenty-sixth meeting of the Council of Heads of Migration Authorities of the CIS States, along with the participants from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Executive Committee of the CIS and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of States Members of the Commonwealth, representatives of Turkmenistan, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the General Confederation of Trade Unions also took part.

Within the framework of the meeting, an exchange of information took place on the migration situation, changes in national legislation in this area and the law enforcement practice of the migration authorities of the Commonwealth countries.

Issues related to the digital transformation of document flow in the field of migration services, regulation of external labor migration and informing migrant workers before they leave abroad about the need to respect the legislation, language and culture of the host country were also considered.

In addition, at the meeting were discussed topics related to the creation of a unified mechanism for the mutual recognition of documents of labor migrants.

The next meeting of the Council is planned to be held in Uzbekistan in the second half of 2022.
