Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) took part in the solemn inauguration ceremony of Kazan as the Youth Capital Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) 2022 (Kazan OIC Capital 2022). This is reported by the official website Consulate General Among the guests of honor of the event - a representative President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister for Affairs youth of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representativesdiplomatic missions accredited in the country.

Kazan took over the relay key from the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. During the festive event, the honored artist Tatarstan, laureate of international and all-Russian competitions Aidar Suleymanov performed the Turkmen song "Ýelpeselendi" in Turkmen.

Within the framework of the international program "Youth Capital OIC” in 2022, Kazan will implement a rich international program that will cover all spheres of life and development of the youth of the Islamic world (science, culture, sports, entrepreneurship, social engineering, education, creative industries). In particular, the Kazan Global OIC Youth Summit (May 25-28, 2022), International Youth Forum "Russia-OIC" (14-18 September 2022), International Youth Festival modern Muslim culture of the OIC countries (October 16-20 2022), International Youth Scientific Congress OIC countries (16-20 October 2022), as well as the presentation International Award "Leaders of OIC Countries" Youth OIC Forum (December 15-16, 2022). Also planned international economic summit "Russia – Islamic world: KazanSummit. It is expected that more than two thousands of people. The Youth Capital of the OIC countries is a status that is awarded to the city for one year, during which the city the winner gets the opportunity to demonstrate the best practices for the development of economic, social and political activity of youth.
