Creative competition "Who is my hero?"

As part of the events dedicated to World Health Day, as well as International Children's Day, UNICEF, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, announces an artistic and creative competition "Who is my hero?" among secondary schools in Ashgabat and all velayats, including children's boarding schools for children with disabilities. The purpose of the competition is to involve schoolchildren in creative expression, promotion and dissemination of information about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

In order to enter the competition, one team from each school must come up with and draw a main character that promotes a healthy lifestyle, considering the following questions: What does my character look like? Why did I choose to portray it this way? How does my character promote a healthy lifestyle? The organizers of the competition offer to think over and draw your character, taking into account the above questions: whether they are fictional characters, suddenly come to life objects from your life or heroes of fairy tales in a modern way, heroes of your fantasies or something else ... Along with the poster, you need to write a short description of the picture (approximately 30 words), answering the above questions, in order to better understand and evaluate the submitted work.

Each team should have from 2 to 4 participants, which will be determined by the school. Each school can provide 1 poster, which should be sent to the UNICEF Office (UN Building in Ashgabat, Archabil Street 21, tel: (993-12) 488352/55/57/58), marked “UNICEF Competition - Who is my hero ”, for the information of Mayagozel Nedirova, along with a description and contact details (please include name, age, school, place of residence and telephone number).

All entries must be submitted by April 30, 2022. Submission requirements: A2 size poster; Description of the poster, approximately 30 words; All contact details of the participants must be indicated on the back of the poster. The winners will be determined by the UNICEF Office and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan in accordance with certain criteria. The main prizes will be awarded to the schools where the winning teams study. In total, 7 sets of main prizes will be drawn (1 school from each velayat and 2 schools in Ashgabat). The grand prize package for each of the 7 winning schools includes a laptop and a mobile sound kit (speakers complete with a microphone for sound at large events). All other participants will also be rewarded with personal prizes (information and visual kits for children).
