Today, according to the established good tradition, festive events dedicated to the International Children's Day took place in the capital and throughout the country. The inclusion of this holiday in the list of significant dates of the national calendar is a clear confirmation of the all-round care that the younger generation is surrounded by in Turkmenistan, as well as the commitment of the Fatherland to the fundamental principles enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Having ratified this important document, our country demonstrates a high responsibility in creating the most favorable living conditions for its young citizens. The basis of the state strategy implemented in this direction is the primordial humanistic ideals, spiritual values and mentality of the Turkmen people, their wise principles of life.

In the Epoch of Revival of the new era of powerful state, these noble traditions received a worthy continuation and new content. Ensuring the well-being and harmonious development of the younger generation, strengthening the health of children, providing them with opportunities to receive quality education is defined as one of the key vectors of the state policy of Turkmenistan, which is being implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

At the same time, unremitting attention is paid to children in need of special care. In this regard, the Turkmen people have developed clear criteria for many centuries, passed down from generation to generation. Now they are embodied in a set of legal guarantees for protection and ensuring the legitimate interests of orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as in a system of economic and other targeted measures aimed at adapting our young compatriots in society who need special social support, to prepare them to an independent life.

Great effective work in this area is carried out by the Charitable Foundation established in March last year on the initiative of Hero-Arkadag to assist children in need of guardianship, which, according to the Resolution of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, was named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The assets received on the bank accounts of this Fund are directed to noble purposes.

It should be noted that this year, the motto of which is “The era of the people with Arkadag”, on the occasion of the International Children's Day, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation allocated 500,000 manats to purchase gifts for young Turkmen citizens who need special social support.

Today, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan - Arkadagly Serdar, these gifts were presented in a solemn atmosphere to many children, including pupils of the capital's Palace “Döwletliler köşgi”. As already reported, yesterday the head of state visited this children's town, which became a joyful, truly unforgettable event for its young owners.

Leaders of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, political parties and public organizations took part in today's festive event.

The children expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for the conditions created for a happy life and the all-round care that they feel every day.

In commemoration of International Children's Day, similar humanitarian actions were organized in all regions of the country. This was another evidence of the pronounced social orientation of the state policy of Turkmenistan, focused on the creation of a society of equal opportunities, based on the centuries-old spiritual and moral foundations of the Turkmen people and enduring universal values.

As the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasizes, there have never been and there are no “foreign” children in the Turkmen society. In this context, it should be noted that the Charitable Foundation has a Council of Elders, designed to provide comprehensive assistance in solving the tasks and other issues related to helping children in need of care.

Financing is regularly allocated from the Fund to carry out various operations for young Turkmen citizens in medical institutions of the capital and regions of the country, as well as to pay for the cost of treatment and purchase necessary medical supplies for children who are brought up and educated in orphanages, specialized and boarding schools.

Topical issues of further improvement and development of children's health care, strengthening the health of the younger generation, introducing them to a healthy lifestyle are the subject of unremitting and close attention of the Hero-Arkadag. This is eloquently evidenced by the recent visit of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan to the capital's Scientific and Clinical Center for Health Protection mother and child, as well as pediatric departments of new multidisciplinary hospitals opened in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Dashoguz with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In a confidential conversation with the kids who are being treated in these medical institutions, equipped with the most modern equipment, Hero-Arkadag inquired in detail about their state of health, noting that the Charity Fund will provide young patients with the necessary assistance so that they fully recover and enjoy life on par with their peers.

It is noteworthy that the pupils of health-improving educational and auxiliary institutions are also constantly in the center of the Foundation's attention. Such modern complexes, which provide all the conditions for the upbringing, education, health promotion and recreation of children, have been built and operate in the capital and velayats of our Motherland.

In a word, it can be said with confidence that independent neutral Turkmenistan has achieved impressive results in ensuring the well-being of its young citizens. Today, optimal conditions have been created in our country for the comprehensive development, education, interesting and useful leisure of the younger generation, and an appropriate legislative framework has been formed.

Today, young Turkmen citizens have at their disposal excellent kindergartens and schools equipped with advanced multimedia equipment. In our country, there are ample opportunities for children to acquire new knowledge, enrich their horizons, realize their abilities and talents, engage in creativity, physical culture and sports, and join work. And in the summer school vacation season that has begun, children will be able to have a good rest and gain strength in wonderful health and recreation centers located in all regions of the Fatherland, including the picturesque town of Gökdere, as well as the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the ecologically clean coast of the Caspian Sea.

All this is a clear confirmation that the state strategy is being successfully and consistently implemented in Turkmenistan, covering every young citizen with all possible care and aimed at the formation of a highly educated, spiritually rich and physically strong young generation who will have to contribute to the further prosperity of the Motherland.
