It is adequate to the realities of the development of the country, including enhancing international cooperation, which calls for the implementation of the multicultural model of education.
Following this trend, from the current academic year, it is included the Japanese and Chinese languages to the curriculum of the secondary and the higher educational institutions.
The Japanese language is profiling in the new university - Engineering and Technological University named after Oguzkhan, where the first year of study entirely devoted to the language training of students, and development of the profession of the International Baccalaureate system begins from the second year.
A good level of foreign language contributes to communicate with the native language speakers. Recently, upon invitation of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan, the guest of the university became the owner of 6th dan aikido Yuji Horikoshi, who talked with the students on the history of the origin and philosophy of aikido. Communication has gone beyond the sports theme, and in the course of a lively conversation Japanese guest answered the students' questions about the present day of Japan, its culture and people’s traditions. He also learned a lot about Turkmenistan.
Having achieved from the beginning of the academic year the level of knowledge of the language will let the freshmen talk with theJapanese guest without an interpreter, who later appreciate the students for their successes and efficiency in their study.
As noted in the university administration, such meetings will be organized on a regular basis, and Japanese experts will later mentor students in language learning.

Their goal is the expansion of the children's horizons and knowledge about the Land of the Rising Sun in the context of enhancing cultural and humanitarian Turkmen-Japanese dialogue. A series of studies has been devoted to the art of origami. These educational events are held by the Embassy in other city’s schools, the curriculum programs of which added the Japanese language.
