International University for Humanities and Development invites you to the Olympiad in Mathematics

Students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries are invited to participate in the Open Mathematical Olympiad among university students (OMOUS-2023), organized by the International University for the Humanities and Development.

The Olympiad is held among university students who are deeply passionate about mathematics and who want to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities at the site of the international review. The number of applicants for participation from universities is not limited.

The competition will be held in person at the International University for the Humanities and Development of the Turkmen capital from 23 to 28 April this year. The Olympiad will be held in the form of individual and team competitions.

The individual tour will divide participants into two categories: students specializing in mathematics and computer science and students of other areas of study at universities. Competitors will be offered 6 problems and 240 minutes (4 hours) to solve them.

In team competitions, regardless of the specialty, groups of students will take part (no more than 4 people in each). Teams will be given 10 tasks to complete in 120 minutes (2 hours).

The official languages of the Olympiad are Turkmen and English. The results of student competitions in mathematics will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Olympiad.

Registration for students is open on the official website of the hosting university in the Academy/Competitions section, which also contains a detailed schedule and rules of the Olympiad, samples of the required documents for participation in the competition and other useful information.

We add that the International University for the Humanities and Development organizes the Open Mathematical Olympiad among university students (OMOUS) for the fourth year in a row. The Olympiad made it possible to significantly expand interuniversity interaction, make it the most fruitful and productive, assess the level of students' preparation in the subject, and identify the most capable and talented participants. The Olympiad is popular among students and expands its geography every year.

Last year, OMOUS-2022 brought together over 700 young mathematicians: more than 200 students from 19 domestic universities and about 500 representatives of 85 foreign universities from more than 40 countries of the world. Among them are Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Romania, Poland, Greece, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, China, India and other countries.
