The scientific-practical conference «Innovative technologies for processing local raw materials» was held on Wednesday at the AST technology Centre. The director of the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Durdymyrat Gadamov addressed the audience with an opening speech, who emphasized the importance of the contribution of science to the implementation of state programs for innovative development of the economy, import substitution and increasing exports through better use of the rich raw materials of the country.
The conference was attended by researchers and graduate students from various laboratories of the Technocentre, teachers of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, a representative of the «Dovletli-Dovran» Economic Association and high school students of the Ashgabat specialized boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy. The composition of the speakers and the topics of the speeches were another evidence of the growing integration of education, science and industry in Turkmenistan, in which the AST Technology Centre plays a leading role. It is also worth noting that six of the twelve presentations were made by graduate students and high school students, which corresponds to the spirit and goals of this year's youth motto, aimed at the full disclosure of the potential of young people, including through broad involvement in science.
The speakers presented their scientific developments and the possibilities of practical application of the results obtained in various fields. The presentations were devoted to the basics of obtaining industrially important compounds from local raw materials, the possibilities of producing ceramic products from local raw materials, the issues of obtaining and the importance of microbiofertilizers from local raw materials in agriculture, the biotechnology of microorganisms in pharmaceutical production, the scientific substantiation of the technology for obtaining a modern canvas for covering race tracks of hippodromes, the meaning and method of obtaining vitamin D3, etc.
