In the course of long-term monitoring of preparations for the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, international observers from the CIS made a working trip to Dashoguz velayat.
Representatives of the Mission were aware of the work of the polling stations, assessed the readiness of the polling stations for the main Election Day. They also held conversations with members of the precinct commissions, who, in turn, spoke about the organization of the work process, informed about how early voting at the polling stations and voting on the main election day would take place.
As a result of the visit, international observers from the CIS noted the high level of readiness for the voting day, the high professionalism of the members of precinct election commissions, and also assessed the level of equipment of polling stations with the necessary equipment and methodological materials.
The formation of the Mission of Observers from the CIS continues. As of today, 40 observers have applied for accreditation. These are representatives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
