A two-day training seminar on the use of platforms for creating digital content when highlighting issues of public interest, organized by the OSCE Centre in Turkmenistan with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, has ended at the «Yyldyz» Hotel in the capital.

The forum for the exchange of experience in the field of mass media focused on improving skills in digital journalism, preparing materials through the use of digital platforms.

International experts Marek Beckerman (Great Britain) and Jakub Parusinski (Poland) were invited to conduct training discussions.

Representatives of domestic media, as well as universities of the country, took part in the specialized training.

Advanced training is provided in such areas as the features of the information space in the digital age, the transition from print to digital journalism, the basics and principles of multimedia, etc. In addition, foreign experts shared their knowledge in the light of the use of online tools, applications and software in journalistic practice.

The training participants also completed a series of practical exercises to create relevant and interesting content for publication in their mass media.

In the course of an interested exchange of views, it was emphasized that the activities of the mass media must comply with the requirements of the time and the tasks of social development. It was noted that, taking into account the important role assigned to the media in the modern world, the continuous improvement of national mass media is one of the main priorities of the policy implemented in the country.

The systematic work carried out in Turkmenistan to expand the information space and use modern multimedia technologies is becoming increasingly important in the context of large-scale reforms initiated by the head of state. In this regard, it was emphasized that the experience of foreign partners would be very useful.
