The membership of election committees in etrap cities, settlements, gengeshliks, as well as district electoral committees for election of the deputies of the Mejlis is made up in two electoral districts – 26 in Kaahka Etrap, Ahal Velayat, and 99 in Mary within the framework of the preparations for the forthcoming elections of the Gengeshi members and deputies of the Mejlis.
The nomination campaigns are held throughout the regions. The newly-created election committees will start forming constituencies, polling stations, and their membership, as well as will prepare all necessary documents.
The lists of national observers and voters’ register will be formed soon.
The seminars for the members of election committees and observer will be held in order to familiarize them with the changes in the national election legislation, in particular the Law “On election of the members of Halk Maslakhaty and Gengeshi”, their job descriptions and the procedures of the elections.
