The President of Turkmenistan approved the National strategy of Turkmenistan on climate change. According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH), the Turkmen leader signed the Resolution during the recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

This decision was adopted with the aim to strengthen the legal basis of the state policy on environment protection, defining the key vectors of work to prevent and reduce the influence of climate change as well as to guarantee implementation of the international legal agreements on climate change that Turkmenistan acceded to.
