The realization of scale program on modernization of the power grids in the residential communities of Ashgabat is going on. Year-to-date, owing to additional equipment, the capacity of 12 urban transformer substations has been increased. Also the mounting of the separate transformer substations of 10/0.4 kilovolt has been done.
To date, the operations on the basis of the substation in the 11th micro-district intended for 35/6 kilovolt have been completed. A new power transformer has been set there.
For the improvement of power supply of the population in the Parahat housing area, additional cable lines have been laid. It has been improved the power supply in the populated areas in the northern part of the capital – Shor and Garadamak, where the electric power grid with voltage of 6-10 kilovolt has been fully renewed. The electric power substation with capacity of 110 kilovolt, which principal base operates on up-to-date equipment produced by the French “Schneider Electric” company has been reconstructed.
