In Turkmenistan, large-scale programmatic efforts are carried out on a regular basis, including educational and methodological meetings, conferences, and other events aimed at the further improvement of the education system. Recently, one such significant event was organized and held by the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, one of the oldest educational institutions in our country.
The educational and methodological conference titled “Modern Methods of Teacher Professional Development: Scientific Research and New Perspectives”, held in an online format, was dedicated to such important areas as the widespread introduction of achievements of modern science and the latest technologies into the education system, increasing the effectiveness of theoretical and practical classes based on digital systems in accordance with international standards, and the further enhancement of the professional skills of education sector employees.

This informative and productive conference was attended by professors and lecturers from the National Institute of Education of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, as well as teachers and specialists from the Hydyr Deryaev Pedagogical School, the Berdimuhamet Annayev Pedagogical Secondary Vocational School of Arkadag city, advanced training centers under the education departments of Ashgabat and the velayats, general education schools, and preschool institutions.

During the conference, speakers focused on the development of the national education system in accordance with adopted concepts. They discussed issues related to improving the professional skills of teachers and educators through scientific research, introducing innovative technologies and best practices into the educational process, as well as developing scientific foundations for the preparation of curricula, textbooks, and teaching aids. Special attention was paid to strengthening the “mentor–student” system and new approaches in this area.

In the second half of the day, the conference continued its work in the following sections: “Theoretical and Practical Foundations of STEM Methodology in Teaching Natural and Exact Sciences,” “The Role of Modern Pedagogical Methods in Improving the Teaching of Humanities,” “Innovative Methods and Pedagogical Mastery in Language Teaching,” and “National Principles of Education as an Inseparable Unity of Intellectual and Physical Development.”
The sectional meetings were marked by high participant activity, during which detailed answers were provided to all key questions. Emphasizing the high level of organization and effectiveness of the conference, the participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan for the broad opportunities created for the development of the country’s education system.
