The Turkmen agricultural producers, who represent the private sector of Turkmenistan's agricultural industry, brought home three gold medals of the All-Russian Agricultural Exhibition "Golden Autumn-2014" from Moscow.
The first medal is awarded to Parasatly farmers association located in Baharly Etrap in Ahal Velayat for the technology for growing high quality fruits and vegetables, including truck crops - tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cabbage, orchard crops and watermelons, melons and gourds. The second medal - to Merdem private enterprise located in Saivan village in the same etrap for the technology for growing orchard crops in the subtropical zone. The enterprise presented the elite varieties of apples, pears, apricots, grapes, plums and persimmons at the exhibition. The third medal is awarded to Parahat private enterprise (Derveze Etrap) for the production of environmentally friendly juices Jos and Ecil.
These products were highly commended by professionals and received awards in different nominations of the contest held in the framework of the exhibition as well as aroused keen interest among the visitors to the exhibition. Particularly due to their 'well-dressed' appearance - the bright colours of vegetables and fruits on the stands in Turkmenistan pavilion were the best poster of our pavilion. The aesthetic form is an essential marketable feature, but the main thing is, certainly, the content. In these terms, agricultural products from Turkmenistan offered competition to the exemplary analogues displayed at the Moscow exhibition, in which agricultural producers from 10 countries of the world participated, together with 50 regions of the Russian Federation.
It should also be noted that the profound, even prevailing significance was attached to impeccable environmental friendliness of vegetables and fruits from Turkmenistan, along with their ideal shape and taste qualities which means its high biological value and benefit to human health. Taking into account not only the traditions and specificity of agricultural production in Turkmenistan, but also the general environmental characteristics of arable areas, particularly agricultural lands, our food products can certainly lead the list of the products free of anthropogenic pollutants.
It should be noted that visitors to the exhibition showed keen interest not only in the products grown by the industry contest winners. The interest aroused by the products from Hasar economic society (confectionery) and Salkyn plyus (10 kinds of dairy products) was not less intense for the same reasons. By the way, the 'palm' in the dairy segment was given to suzma - an exotic product for Moscow citizens. Those who tasted it did not hide their admiration. They, having found out about its healing properties, suggested that such a product should be generally marketed.
Along with the participation in the exhibition, Turkmen agricultural producers took an active part in the versatile business programme of the forum and held numerous meetings and talks on specific issues of partnerships, namely supply of various kinds of products, equipment, machinery, fertilizer, seeds, exchange of production technology and storage and processing of agricultural products.
Much attention was given to the achievements of our farmers in poultry industry. The experience of an entrepreneur M. Ibragimov, who does business in breeding turkeys, aroused keen interest of specialists as a positive example of the management of pilot production. M. Ibragimov was the first to bring the most popular cross-breed of turkeys Big 6 in Turkmenistan from England, and now he is building a private poultry complex with the capacity of 4,800 tons of turkey meat in Geoktepe Etrap.
