Turkmen entrepreneurs’ bakery exhibition

An exhibition “Rysgal başy bugdaýdyr” that demonstrated a wide range of cereal and bakery products produced by Turkmen entrepreneurs took place at the trade centre of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on the eve of Galla bairamy. The event was organized by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Central Women’s Unions and the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan.


Increasing the production of high quality food products is one of the important tasks set to Turkmen entrepreneurs. An extensive network of flour milling plants, mini bakeries and macaroni and confectionery factories manufacturing products from local law materials, has been created in our country within last years. All necessary conditions for packaging food products have been created and the food industry fleet that allows delivering fresh bread and pastries to customers promptly has been modernized.


Numerpus subdivisions of the Turkmengallaonumleri State Association, Hazar, Misgyar, Degirmen and Tomus, the cafeteria Aily Gije, Shyhatdar and Sherkeli enterprises and private enterprises and others participated in the exhibition. The aroma of freshly baked Turkmen bread chorek that is familiar to everyone from childhood mixed with the scent of vanilla and cinnamon. Different kinds of traditional Turkmen bread – kulche, petir, yagly chorek, etli chorek, syutli chorek and the loaves of white, rye, Borodinskiy, bran and other types of bread were also exhibited there, Pishme, cakes with golden crust, pies and buns with different fillings gladdened the eye.

Cakes baked specially for the exhibition received rave reviews from visitors.


Cookery specialists shared the secrets of their best recipes with visitors.

A separate section of the exhibition was dedicated to packaged products. Well-known food products as well as new products, including packaged biscuits, spice cakes, bread rings, rusks, pasta and even meat dumplings were showcased there.

The exhibition demonstrated the growing potential of Turkmen industrialists and entrepreneurs in bakery production using traditional and modern technologies.
