Technical Training Center at the Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex was opened about 20 years ago. During this period, the departmental educational institution has trained more than one thousand professionals in various fields and currently, reached the level of training of one and a half thousand specialists a year that is comparable with large state educational establishment.
Since its creation, the Training Center of the plant has been focused on graduation of qualified junior workers and professionals. Graduates of TTC were directed to the commissioned installations of millisecond catalytic cracking, reforming, hydraulic cleaning of diesel fuel, installations of liquefied gas, seawater desalination, plants for production of lubricating oils, polypropylene, new gas turbine power station and other shops. For Labor merits, the former cadets of TTC enjoyed the conditions created by the plant to study in secondary and higher technical educational institutions, including foreign ones. Improving the professional level, they were appointed to responsible engineering and executive positions.
In 2005, the share of youth in team of TORC came to 42 percent. Young professionals became the heads in fourteen of twenty-one shops at the TORC in Turkmenbashi city. Most of them continue to work with honor at the enterprises, making a significant contribution to socio-economic development of the complex.
Today, the need in technically competent employees at Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex increased in connection with the implementation at the enterprise of complex modernization projects. At the end of 2015, it was put into operation the installations of oil vacuum distillation, alkylation of light olefins, gasoline blending and isomerization of light gasoline. In the same year, it was commissioned energy service cluster of plant-wide facilities and technological installation of atmospheric oil distillation ELOU-AT-7 with annual capacity of three million tons of raw materials. This year, it is completed the construction of plant for the production of biaxially oriented polypropylene film. Slow coking unit with tar deasphalting is in the active phase of construction. All this is on the background of intensive implementation of a series of regular large-scale projects for the further modernization of Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex.
Front-end transfer of enterprise into innovative development track creates in massive amount new workplaces and correspondingly sets before Technical Training Center of TORC wider tasks on training of qualified personnel. Today, here hundreds of young people study in various specialties in differentiated by terms the training courses are. Depending on the level of education and professional experience of applicants, there are 2-, 3-, 5- and 10-month courses in the training center. Classes are held in Turkmen and Russian languages. It is worked out the possibility of opening the target courses for improvement of English language for specialists, being specialized in the field of project work and marketing of the Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex. It is discussed the issue of training on constant basis of the translators of technical, official and other documents from the Turkmen, Russian and English languages.
Material base for training of specialists are the special classrooms in TTC building equipped with visual aids, technical devices, training stands and modern multimedia educational equipment. Students undergo the practice in the production shops of flagship of refinery in Turkmenistan. Training is carried out by staff teachers and leading specialists of the Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex.
The main customer of staff - Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex, but TTC responds promptly to demand for staff not only of the enterprise, but also the rapidly developing city and particularly, - the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”. For numerous objects of seaside resort, the Training Center of TORC trains the cooks, maids, bartenders, operators of ironing and laundry services, lift operators, machinists of boilers, heating engineers, installers, builders, plumbers, and other workers of hotel service and engineering infrastructure.
