The estimated capacity of the catalytic reforming unit is 500 thousand tons of gasoline per year and its reconstruction by a group of companies «WTL (FZE) » from the United Arab Emirates and «Westport Trading Europe Limited» (USA). At the end of 2014, our engineers in collaboration with specialists «WTL (FZE)» conducted a study of facility and found out what equipment was already exhausted its resources and needs to be replaced, - says head of construction work «Westport Trading Europe Limited» Genji Durdyyev. –Used in the project the technical solutions to ensure reliability, efficiency and safe operation of the facility, as well as environmental protection.
Under the contract of the construction of the catalytic reforming unit LP-35-11/ 1000 should be completed by the end of September this year. Companies of domestic fuel and energy in the framework of the "Program of development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan up until 2030 year" gradually implement large-scale projects aimed at diversifying the oil and gas industry, the development of industrial potential, transport infrastructure and increasing exports of energy carrier, demanded on the world markets.
- Our company has more than 15 years with the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, which includes the Seidi Oil Refinery, conducting scientific and engineering research to improve the quality of petroleum products and construction-reconstruction of installations, - said deputy director of the branch in Turkmenistan «Westport Trading Europe Limited» (USA), Doctor of Engineering Sciences Allaberdy Ilyasov. Today in Turkmenistan, the production of fuel for motor vehicles (gasoline and diesel) is characterized by the constant improvement of the environmental performance of their quality, which promotes the growth of operational properties of fuels and lubricants in general, and improving the reliability of operation of motor vehicles. This trend is mainly due to two factors: the need to improve the competitiveness of domestic petroleum products on the international market, as well as the increasing requirements for environmental safety of motor vehicles.
Advantages of the "Euro 5" standard fuel are to reduce the content of sulfur and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Engines running on this gasoline, operate quietly, reduce vibration, reduce specific fuel consumption, ease its starts-up, and prevent corrosion processes. Also, it improves the quality of the fuel mixture in the combustion engines of vehicles, which makes it possible to increase the service life of the system by the neutralization of exhaust gases.
This is not the first project successfully realized by «Westport Trading Europe Limited». Here, at the Seydi oil refinery plant it was put into operation technological installation for the production of bitumen. To start this property is another important step towards the successful implementation of Turkmenistan's energy strategy, a key aspect of which is to increase the production of high-quality oil products in the country.
The complex is located on a compact area of 1.5 hectares and is equipped with the most modern equipment. The high level of automation object, control and process control are carried out with the help of computers with special software. The estimated capacity designed to process annually 118 thousand tons of fuel oil, from which annually produced 37.2 thousand tons of high-quality petroleum bitumen.
