Semi-final games of the intellectual competition "Young Heralds of the World" were held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The strongest players of the previous stage of the competition reached the semi-finals. These are 16 winners of eight games of the competition, from which two teams (8 people each) were formed for two semi-final games.

The first semi-final game was held at the university on June 2. It brought together students from the schools of the capital, Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats. The questions for the participants were prepared according to the content of the literary works of the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and related to the wise ideas and valuable instructions of the author embedded in them.

The second semi-final game took place after the first, on June 3. Its eight players included high school students from Ashgabat, Akhal, Mary, Balkan and Dashoguz velayats. As part of the game, intellectual battles took place on the topic "Turkmen diplomacy - an example of peacekeeping and fair policy."

The exact and exhaustive answers of the players to the questions testified to the conscientious and high-quality preparation of the participants, the in-depth study of the literature recommended by the organizers.

Unlike the previous games of the contest, which determined two winners from each of the eight players, two semi-final games "sent" four leaders to the final.

According to the decision of the jury, the four winners of the first semi-final game were Ykhlas Khallyev, a 10th grade student of the capital's specialized music boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva, Shasenem Meylisova, a 11th grade student of a specialized school with in-depth study of English and the humanities in the city of Ashgabat. Mary, as well as students of the specialized general education boarding school named after S. Turkmenbashi in Ashgabat Nurana Khudaiberdiyeva (grade 10) and Kadyrmyrat Ovezgylyjov (grade 11).

The second semi-final game was won by Yagshymyrat Ovezov (grade 11, specialized secondary school No. 87 with in-depth study of foreign languages, Ashgabat), Intizar Taganniyazova (grade 11, specialized secondary school No. 22 with in-depth study of English, physics and mathematics, g .Balkanabat), as well as Hojamyrat Bailyev and Kakageldi Akmyradov, 11th grade students of the specialized general boarding school named after S. The competent jury of the semi-finals, which assessed the participants in all severity and fairness, included Associate Professor of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Chary Niyazov. In the first game, he was joined by the editor-in-chief of the World Literature magazine Rakhmet Gylydzhov and the deputy head of the creative department of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan Akmurat Rejepov. And in the second - representatives of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Makhtumkuli of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan - Candidate of Historical Sciences, Academic Secretary Kakajan Dzhanbekov and Senior Researcher Gyzylgul Tagandurdyeva.

The winners and all participants of the games were presented with valuable gifts from the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the sponsors of the event, as well as diplomas and letters of thanks from the university-organizer of the project.

The sponsors of the games were the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli, the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the State Association "Turkmenhaly", OJSC "Abadan haly", ES "Aýdyň gijeler", ES "Muhammet Balkan", ES "Saraýan", IE "Ýedi Dogan".

Turkmen viewers will be able to watch the broadcast of the semi-final games in the coming days on the national TV channel Miras.

The project "Young Heralds of the World" can rightly be called unique in its kind. Firstly, given that it lasted almost throughout the entire academic year that ended, it continued with the semi-final in June and the final of the competition is on the horizon.

Secondly, for its schoolchildren participants, material has been prepared that goes far beyond the school curriculum - complex topics and tasks, a huge array of literature. And this is justified by the fact that high school students who dream of a career as a diplomat and are on the threshold of this dream joined the ranks of the contestants. Along with this, a deep meaning is embedded in the name of the competition. The mission of proving their right to be worthy of this title is entrusted to the young messengers of peace. Its owner must have a broad outlook, be erudite and intellectually savvy, know foreign languages, history, be well versed in politics, possess communication skills, analytical thinking and other set of qualities and abilities inherent in a diplomat.

And finally, a significant number of people are involved in the organization and implementation of the project - representatives of a number of public and private structures.

So, grandiose in its content and duration, the project of the Higher School of Diplomacy and the School of Young Diplomats of the university for students in grades 9-11 of the country's schools, grandiose in its content and duration, is coming to an end. Ahead is the final of the competition with the participation of the strongest eight players, which will be held on June 21 and will be dedicated to the theme "The doctrine of our Hero Arkadag: dialogue is a guarantee of peace."

On a significant day for the entire team of organizers and representatives who assisted in the implementation of the project and, of course, the participants themselves, the results of the competition will be summed up, the owners of the Grand Prix, prizes, as well as the audience award will be determined.
