Production of deposits from subsoil is uninterrupted technological process that includes number of engineering and technical production infrastructures including field and maintenance ones. Service maintenance is assigned to the personnel of well maintenance department of the State Concern “Turkmenneft”, which mobile teams successfully operate in the fields of the West region of the country. Underground repair of 287 wells was carried out with their help from the beginning of the year, which resulted in production of hundreds of thousand tons of additional crude oil and hundreds of million cubic meters of natural gas by the fuel and energy complex of our country.
This is a big merit of the personnel of the Barsagelmes field, which one of the oldest in the country, where regular scheduled maintenance of the wells, which dropped the daily production and by different reasons are not operational, is carried out. The repair works are forestalled by geophysical surveys, detailed definition of the problems, the solution of the issues and by the scope of coming works. In most cases, these are subsoil repair or workover of the wells, which depends on not only the condition of the well but also on many external factors like technological, geological and geophysical ones.
Special flexible pipes are widely used for repair of low production wells. Unlike the tubings, they have number of advantages, which are necessary for underground repair of the wells under complex geological and geophysical conditions. More than 580 wells were overhauled using this method in this year.
Another largest oil field in the western region is Goturdepe deposit. Hundreds of wells produce “black gold” there. Many of them were more than compensated for long years of exploitation. As soon as drop of the pressure is observed what result in decrease of daily production of existing wells, the “Goturdepe” gas compressor station (GKS) is called for assistance. The opening ceremony of the station was held in February 2007, during the first working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to this oil and gas producing region, which became decisive step and powerful key factor of further development of fuel and energy complex of the country and national economy in general.
The second breath of old deposit was opened with putting into operation of the “Goturdepe” gas compressor station, which provided with most modern equipment from the best worlds’ manufacturers. Liquefied gas, acting as an underground elevator, started to lift oil using high atmospheric pressure. Production of oil at almost four hundred wells is made by highly productive gas lifting methodology. Mobile service teams, which perform underground repair and workover of the wells contributed to the revival and modernization of the old field. They use powerful Chinese “Xj-250” lifting units, which significantly facilitate the work of service personnel, providing the stability of production technological cycle.
At present, the oil wells confidently move toward the northern part of Goturdepe, which is located in the coastal zone of the sea, where large deposits of oil are forecasted. Exploration drilling and geophysical survey of tectonic structure of the Earth crust confirm the presence of productive oil and gas layers.
